CARBON ASSURANCE STRENGTHENS GLOBAL LEADERSHIP AT KENYA’S FIRST BIENNIAL TRANSPARENCY REPORT REVIEW
- Carbon Assurance Expert Receives International Recognition for Climate Reporting Excellence

Carbon Assurance, a leader in greenhouse gas verification and environmental impact analysis, proudly contributed to the international expert team during the in-country review of Kenya’s first Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) — a critical step under the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework.
The multi-day event brought together government representatives, technical experts, consultants, and an international team of reviewers from 10 countries, all working collaboratively to assess Kenya’s progress toward its climate goals. The process included detailed analysis of emissions data, mitigation efforts, and national adaptation strategies.
Ms. Kristina Gonchar, Audit Manager at Carbon Assurance and a recognised expert in greenhouse gas reporting and verification, participated as an international reviewer at the invitation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), bringing her extensive knowledge of the development and submission of emissions inventories to the UNFCCC to provide critical expertise to the review process.
Ms. Kristina Gonchar was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the international coordination team in recognition of her outstanding contribution, commitment, and professionalism for her expert role in reviewing the Biennial Transparency Report.
