CARBON ASSURANCE AWARDED EXPO GREEN LICENCE AT GREEN INNOVATION DISTRICT CEREMONY

Carbon Assurance has been officially awarded the Expo Green Licence during the first Green Innovation District: Green Licence Ceremony held at Expo City Dubai.
The ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, and H.E. Najeeb Al Ali, Executive Director of Expo City Dubai, and brought together the first recipients of the Expo Green Licence.
The Expo Green Licence is a pioneering product from Expo City Dubai and a key enabler of the Green Innovation District. It is designed to support environmentally conscious businesses committed to advancing clean energy, the circular economy, green technology and sustainable solutions.
The Green Innovation District is the UAE’s first dedicated ecosystem for sustainable business growth, bringing together organisations focused on climate technology, clean energy, sustainable finance and decarbonisation. The initiative was launched by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Expo City Dubai to support the UAE’s wider sustainability agenda and Net Zero 2050 objectives.
For Carbon Assurance, receiving the Expo Green Licence represents an important milestone in the company’s journey and further strengthens its presence within the UAE’s sustainability ecosystem.

Carbon Assurance is an EIAC-accredited validation and verification body specialising in greenhouse gas assurance. The company supports organisations in strengthening the credibility, transparency and reliability of their climate and environmental reporting through independent validation, verification and assurance services.
During the ceremony, H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri highlighted the role of the Green Innovation District as a practical platform where sustainability, innovation and economic opportunity come together, and emphasised the growing importance of the green economy as part of the UAE’s long-term competitiveness.
Carbon Assurance has successfully completed its annual EIAC surveillance assessment. The EIAC-accredited status confirms Carbon Assurance’s competence in providing environmental validation and verification services in accordance with internationally recognised standards, including ISO/IEC 17029:2019, ISO 14065:2020, ISO 14064-3:2019 and ISO 14066:2023.
As demand grows for transparent climate disclosures and environmental accountability, independent validation and verification are becoming increasingly important across both voluntary and regulatory frameworks. For Carbon Assurance, the successful EIAC surveillance assessment further reinforces confidence in the company’s professional expertise, robust processes and standards-based approach to environmental assurance.
